Lie down on your stomach. Within a few seconds bring your breathing to normal. Stretch both arms in front of your head and bring both legs together. Inhale and hold the breath. Stiffen the entire body and raise the arms, head, chest and legs simultaneously. The position should be such that only the navel and the area around it should touch the ground. Raise arms, legs and chest as much as possible. Hold the inhaled breath as long as you can and remain in the asan. Exhale and slowly bring the raised parts of the body down. Rest for a while. Repeat the asan three times.
Effect: The effect of this asan is the same as that of Dhanurasan.
